I started cloud-accounts out of a personal need. I am a freelance video editor, I use Google calendar to book my time and a $20 a month online invoicing package to invoice my clients. This, kind of worked for me but I still had to manually transfer the information from Google calendar to the invoicing application. At the end of the day, I did not know my financial situation. In order to get a full set of books, I would have to link my invoicing package to accounting software for freelancers and pay another monthly fee to them, if I wanted to scan and upload my bills I would have to link to another company and pay them another monthly fee, by this time I am paying enough money to hire a bookkeeper for 2 hours a month. I wanted a bookkeeping software that does all that and cost me next to nothing. To manage my time I could have gone and done a poor copy of Google calendar, however, they have millions of dollars to spend on perfecting their software and they made it so we can all use it for free. That's why we use their very sophisticated calendar to handle that part of the process, I did not want to reinvent the wheel. So, there you have it, the best cloud accounting software that I can use daily to handle my finances, make no mistake, I use cloud-accounts to manage cloud accounts. If you have any suggestions to make cloud-accounts better, please do not hesitate to submit a request at the bottom of this page, we will also improve the software on a monthly basis so check out the news section to see what we are up to.
